Queen e David Bowie, Under Pressure

Beat It, Michael Jackson

Eu adoro a voz do Michael!

Alice In Chains, Man in The Box

Eis a chance!

E ai de quais vocês gostaram mais?

  1. Interesting and very cool to do the vocals only tracks. Queen with Bowie and Michael Jackson are excellent as vocals only. I don’t know Eminem’s work at all, but I think the vocals only is probably preferable to having what is often annoying music in the background of rap-style song. Alice in chains and Nirvana are really raw sounding without the music. Great post, Lari!

    1. Glad you liked it!
I’m really enjoying this isolated vocals thing.
About rap music, I don’t like it much. Eminem got to me when I was a teen and he is the only one I listen every once and while. The only one I enjoy…. Taste matters 🙂

      1. I like several of the songs by Polish and Italian rappers I’ve heard (they are more fun than serious it seems to me), and I like a couple of songs by Ludacris and Pitbull. Some of the parodies like “I’m Pretty Fly (for a white guy)” by Offspring and “Amish Paradise” by Weird Al Yankovic are really fun, also. But I can’t listen to the really hardcore American rap.

        1. I feel like I couldn’t listen to Polish rap because I wouldn’t understand a thing. Buuut, the truth is that, most of the time, I can’t understand american rappers either lol guess my English is not good enougth to follow that. With Eminem is different because I got in touch with his songs when young and had time to always listen with the lyrics in my hands. Besides him, I’ve listened to other american rappers songs that made their way to the radios in the past…

          1. It doesn’t really bother me that I can’t understand the words in music from other countries, because I can’t understand the words to a lot of songs in English. There has been so many times I really liked a song, but couldn’t really make out the words very well, so I looked them up, and then ended hating the song because I didn’t like the words. Ignorance really can be bliss when it comes to music.

          2. True that!
I don’t know how often music from different countries become known in America, so I don’t know how americans usually deal with this. Here, we have american/british songs in the radio and on top of charts the whole time, so I grew up more used to music in English. And as I know a little English I kinda have this need of searching for any other lyric I don’t understand. We get used to learn what we are singing and, sometimes, this can take away all the fun indeed

          3. Many people think I’m a freak for listening music from other countries in different languages. I may be a freak, but they miss out on a whole lot of interesting music and culture.
So many people seem to be so happy listening to one style of music, watching TV and having little or no art, literature or creativity it their lives. That is their choice and personality, which I have no problem with, but I don’t understand having narrow and limited tastes for music, art, culture and literature.
Fortunately, tastes and personalities vary so much among individuals, that the world is full of a wonderful mix and variety of music, art and literature for freaks like me to enjoy.

          4. I believe that it’s really good to be opened to the new. And even though I know this, this comment of yours gave me something to keep in mind… Thanks! And, just for the record, I don’t see you as a freak. Or, maybe, I see you as a “freak” I can relate well haha

          5. I like to think of myself as normal, but when I get with what’s considered to be “normal” people, I discover how weird I really am. It’s always refreshing to find truly weird people, as opposed to “normal” people who try to be weird.

    Laura Pausini – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAzwA8gtNX0
    Delta Goodrem – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDN1p-N3UsE
E, ouvindo Under the Pressure, pirei aqui imaginando os vocais isolados de How Can I Go On.

        Beijos!!
